ArleeDesign provides a wide range of power boats designs.

Power Boats to 46'

ARL-PN20.1
- a 20' pontoon boat.

ARL-PN20.1 is a Composite Construction (PVC foam and GRP skins) ISO D "sheltered" category equivalent, driven by a 15hp outboard engines.

A General Arrangement and Profile plan is available here. A summary of materials are available on request. A 3D WebGL model can be seen here (approx. 2.2MB total - WebGL requires new graphic cards).

ARL-KSS-Danube14
- a river catamaran.

ARL-KSS-Danube14 is a 42' river catamaran designed together with Derek Kelsall/Kelsall Catamarans launched at the end of November 2013. The construction is standard KSS, foam sandwich panels with E-Glass skins. Engines are 2x Inboard Volvo 2x130hp SX but it is possible to replace them with standard outboards. Designed for 7x passengers, has a displacement of approx. 11.5t.

A General Arrangement plan is available here. See also its KSS page.

Summary of Vessel Parameters:
Length Overall=14.06m
Beam Overall=5.00m
BDeck Height = 0.45m
Draft = 0.55m
Displacement = approx. 11.5t
Engines = 2x Volvo 2x130 hp/SX.
Pax = 7x.
- Vessel designed for coastal waters (ISO design category "C").

Power Boats over 46'

ARL-KSS-P465 Power Catamaran
- a custom made, liveaboard 46' power catamaran.

The request received from our client was for a vessel with a primary function of a liveaboard coastal cruiser suitable for both PNW and Caribbean climates. A General Arrangement and Profile plan is available here.

The vessel was designed in collaboration with Derek Kelsall (Kelsall Catamarans) to take full advantage of KSS: the use of a flat table for infusion, a simpler to make join between the most of bulkheads, soles, floors etc, a better resin to glass ratio for superior strength, etc. See Kelsall Catamarans website for a full description of the KSS method. It is planed to be built in British Columbia, Canada.

The main accommodation for the owners is entirely on the main Deck: a cabin with a queen size berth with en-suite, a full size galley, office space and a dinner corner for at least 2x couples. Bellow the main deck, in the hulls, there is accommodation space - with complete privacy - for a couple plus 2x more occasional guests.

Hulls - with a max draft of 0.85m - are round bilge for a decent performance at the proposed displacement of approx. 13.5t. A skeg protects the hulls from grounding and extends down to protect the propeller and the rudders from debris. The flybridge contains the main helm position; it is covered by a hardtop and it is to be enclosed by canvas.

The vessel is driven by two Volvo Penta 150hp inboard diesel engines for an expected cruising speed of 19kts at the design displacement.

Vessel Parameters:
Length Overall=14.02m;
Beam Overall=6.8m;
Draft=0.84m;
Displacement (cruising)=13.5t approx.
Beam Between Hull Centers=4.82m;
B'Deck Height=0.965m;
Engines = (2x) Volvo 150hp;
Expected Max. Speed under power = approx. 19knots;
Air Draft = 5.1m;

ARL-KSS-P465 is a Composite Construction (PVC foam and GRP skins) ISO B "offshore" category equivalent.

A summary of materials and a list of 2D plans (more than 25x) and 3D models are available on request. A 3D WebGL model can be seen here (approx. 2.2MB total - WebGL requires new graphic cards).
